The Tanzania eVisa is an online travel authorisation that allows eligible travellers to enter Tanzania for tourism, business, transit, or other purposes without visiting an embassy.

Applicants can select from the following Tanzania eVisa types, depending on their purpose of visit.

Note: U.S. passport holders planning to visit Tanzania for tourism purposes must apply for a leisure and holiday visa, which allows multiple entries and is valid for 1 year.
